Terms and Conditions for Metropolitan Collective Shapers applicants

1. The Metropolitan Collective Shapers (“MCS”) program is run by Metropolitan, a part of Momentum Metropolitan Life Limited, a registered insurance company, authorised financial services (FSP 44673) and registered credit provider (NCRCP173).

2. This program is not open to any employees of Momentum Metropolitan Life Limited, its affiliated companies or their families.

3. By applying to participate in the program, applicants confirm that they have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.

4. The program is open to applications from 01 November 2022 to 31 November 2022.

5. Incomplete, illegible, misdirected or late applications will not be considered.

6. Successful applicants will need to respond to confirm final acceptance into the program, as well as correct details, within 7 days of Metropolitan making contact. Failure to do so may result in the applicant forfeiting their slot in the MCS program.

7. Metropolitan’s decision regarding the successful applicants and their progression into the phases of the MCS program is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. Metropolitan does not accept responsibility for network, computer or software failures of any kind and has no responsibility for lost, delayed or misdirected applications.

9. Metropolitan reserves the right to discount any inappropriate or offensive applications and to disqualify any applications if the Promoter, at its sole discretion, believes that there has been an attempt to manipulate or tamper with the operation of the MCS program.

10. Metropolitan does not accept any responsibility for any infringement of any third-party intellectual property rights caused by any applicant’s application for the MCS program.

11. Applicants will be required to provide Metropolitan with proof that they meet the qualifying criteria.

12. Metropolitan will not use applicants’ personal data for any other purpose than for the MCS program without the consent of the applicant.

13. Applicants acknowledge that if successful, Metropolitan may publish their names, photographs and stories on any medium, in relation to any advertising or articles relating to the promotion of the MCS program.

14. There are 3 different gates (phases) to the MCS program, only participants meeting the specific requirements, communicated at each gate, will progress to the other gates;

15. The Top 10 participants (as determined by Metropolitan) at the end of gate 3 will receive:

    1. R20 000 cash prize

    2. Branded Name board for their business

    3. A year’s worth of funeral cover worth R10 000 for the participant only

    4. Facilitated Market Access

16. All prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable and cannot be exchanged.

17. Metropolitan reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this program, the terms, conditions and/or qualifying criteria without prior notice.

Qualifying Criteria

​

• Be between the ages of 18 and 35;

• Permanently reside in the Republic of South Africa;

• Registered Business 100% South African (Historically disadvantaged. People living with disabilities);

• Business operating for not less than 24 months (2 years);

• Business must operate within the specified sector of focus for the region;

• Director with shareholding must be dedicated full-time to your business;

• MCS commitment from participants;

• Short video about the business and what next level would look like;

• Established business, i.e main business of the applicant and not a part-time venture.
